Lapland Longspur

With two weeks to retirement I made a commitment to work really hard and get an important project completed.

Of course that is before I heard there was a Lapland Longspur in a neighboring town . . . it shouldn’t take long.

Upon arriving, I startled the Longspur and it circled me three times and took off and I expected that to be it.

Not long after, one of the best birders in the State of Maine, showed up and and we scoured the area until he found it . . . right where I had scared it away.

I did get back to my desk and got some work done (my boss may read this blog).
