This morning on a highway drive from south along the Maine . . . I noticed a white blog in a group of Canada Geese. I took the next exit, drove north, turned and headed south again . . . pulling off in the break down lane to check out the white blob . . . a Snow Goose!
Many places in the country, Snow Geese are relatively common but seeing one in Maine is a rare occurrence. Loved watching him graze in a mud flat.
Also saw a first of the year White-throated Sparrow on a bird feeder . . . a rare winter bird.
