Ethan and Ingrid’s 2024 Big Year (Week 44 and 45)

After several weeks without a new bird . . . Snowy Owls show up for the first time in almost two years and we get one . . . our 19th Owl species of the year.

In this recap we explore why the Snowy Owls haven’t been around and the sad relationship between Owls and some photographers.

Congratulations on seeing the Snowy owl and the message about photographers who get too close!
Enjoy your trip to Texas, and I look forward to your update. I agree…HAPPY BIRDING!

So pleased you got that snowy owl but SOOOOO DISAPPOINTED in those photographers. THEY DO KNOW BETTER and ….. those amazing lenses would have captured a quality photo!
Have fun in Texas. I know some good birds are awaiting you.

Great bird… gorgeous! Shame to see the situation with the photographers. It’s a bit overdue, but congrats on the joining the “700 Club”…
“Wow, welcome to the 700 club, kid, that is rarified air!” (the legendary Kenny Bostick… haha, no wonder Komito hated that film!)
